About us

Made by musicians who’ve stood on both sides of the license.

TrackShield is run by Marcel Alexander Wiebenga and Nicholas van den Doel. We played in bands, toured, recorded, managed artists and released records. Our own music ended up on TV, in games and in shows. Then we spent 15 years on the licensing side, supervising over 1,000 sync campaigns for brands like Mercedes, Heineken and KLM.

What that means for you

We know what a license should cost because we’ve negotiated them. We know how brands work because we’ve worked with them. And we know how it feels when your music is used without asking, because it happened to us.
